Sky In Your Eyes

Sky in Your Eyes is Muidas’ sixth single, the second one of the “Above the Clouds“ project. The song is characterized by a soothing and relaxing mood, with a gentle finger style guitar accompanied by a dreamy synth pad. The composition process is a bit unique. Inspiration came suddenly, in the most beautiful way.

The song will be released on all major streaming platform on May 6th 2022! Enjoy the video and don’t forget to follow Muidas on Spotify.

If you keep reading, you are in for a treat. I generally don’t like to share details about my personal life but here I will make an exception.

Roughly 10 years ago I was making my first steps in California and dating my wife to be. I caught a terrible flu that forced me to bed for four days straight. On the morning of the fifth day I woke up feeling finally better: the fever was gone. A sense of calm and optimism ran through me. I picked up my guitar and started strumming a few chords. Believe it or not, after a few minutes I came up with most of what you will hear in the final release of Sky in Your Eyes! I was so excited about it that I made a quick recording with my phone and shared it with my girlfriend. Lots of things happened between now and then. We got married and we have been living together since. Sometimes (and hopefully!) married couples reminisce of the moment when “we said we loved each other for the first time.“ The astonishing fact is that my wife thinks that the first time I confessed my love wasn’t with words but through music, through Sky in Your Eyes. This is what makes this song so special to me. The more I think about it, the more I believe it must be the case. It was a unique moment of inspiration in which music transcended language. It was me, unaware of my love, yet feeling it in its purest form.

Ok, enough with the cheesy stuff. I invite you to listen to the song and I hope you like it. If you do, maybe share it with someone special. Apparently, music can do wonders!

From my heart to yours,

Muidas
